How to Book Your Wedding at The Mill Forge
Follow the step by step guide below to book your weddings at The Mill Forge near Gretna Green.
Contact us on 01461 800344 to discuss the availability of your chosen date(s). You can then make a provisional booking which we hold for 10 days without any obligation or deposit.
The provisional booking would include your wedding venue, hotel accommodation and wedding reception meal as required.
Booking Your Wedding at The Mill Forge
Decide whether you would like either a religious or civil ceremony.
Details of how to book either ceremony can be found by following the steps below.
Confirm the booking by sending the necessary deposits within ten days of making the provisional booking. The deposits we require are £20 per room per night, the deposit for your wedding package (see individual packages pages for the deposits) and £5 per person for the reception meal.
Book Your Wedding - Religious Ceremony
1) Contact a wedding planner on 01461 800344 to make a provisional booking which would be held for ten days
2) Contact a Minister from the list which we will provide you with, and arrange for their services
3) If you haven't already done so then you MUST contact Gretna Registration Office on 01461 337648 to obtain the necessary legal paperwork (M10 forms)*. Or visit their website www.gretnaonline.net
4) Return The Mill Forge booking form to us signed and completed with the necessary deposit for your chosen package and any other deposits required
5) When we have received The Mill Forge booking form and payment for the hire of The Mill Forge we will send you confirmation of your booking.
*The M10 Marriage Notice forms MUST be returned to Gretna Registry Office between three months and twenty-nine days prior to your big day.
Book any other wedding services for your big day. These may include a piper, a photographer, a florist, a beautician etc.
Book Your Wedding - Civil Ceremony
1) Contact us on 01461 800344 to make a provisional booking which would be held for 10 days
2) If you haven't already done so then you MUST contact Gretna Registration Office on 01461 337648 to obtain the necessary legal paperwork (M10 forms)*. Or visit their website www.gretnaonline.net
3) Return The Mill Forge booking form to us signed, completed and ticked for a registrar along with the necessary deposit for your chosen package and any other deposits required
4) When we have received The Mill Forge booking form and payment for the hire of The Forge we will apply for the registrar on your behalf. Once the registrar has confirmed to us that they will be able to attend, we will send both our and their confirmation to you.
5) The registrar's confirmation will have a footnote detailing any payments or deposits they require you to make.
